Recipe of Serabi



 
Serabi is a traditional snack from Indonesia . Serabi looks like pancake.  In Solo, Indonesia, serabi eaten with brown sugar sauce that has a sweet taste and thin shape. While in Bandung, Indonesia, serabi eaten without sauce so it has a salty savory flavor and a thicker shape. Serabi normally eaten with additional oncom, cheese, chocolate, strawberry, or a variety of other toppings. Serabi made ​​from rice flour fed grated coconut, salt, and coconut milk.

ingredients :
150 grams of grated young coconut
2 tablespoons cooking oil
Grated cheese to taste
500 ml coconut milk
250 grams of rice flour (good quality)
1/2 tsp fine salt

Ingredients sugar solution :
500 ml coconut milk
2 pandan leaves (size 20 cm and then tie a knot)
1/2 tsp fine salt
250 grams palm sugar

How to make Pancake :

Firstly Combine rice flour, grated coconut, salt, then pour coconut milk too slowly while stirring until the dough evenly. After that , prepare the pancake mold and then give a little cooking oil . Then pour the mixture into it and cook the pancake batter until issuing small bubbles and add the grated cheese on top and cook until done . Then remove and drain. Cook until all the dough runs out. Furthermore , cook all ingredients until boiling sugar solution , after boiling then remove and let cool. Finally, Serve pancakes on a serving plate and pour the sugar solution on it.
